About Us

My name is Natalie Smith and I am the proud Principal of Salvin Special Education Center. My goal is to continue the hard work and dedication set forth by our teachers, assistants, and support providers. It is important that our children remain safe and cared for as they continue to learn and develop life long skills here at Salvin.

Our Mission

Where research-based instructional practices and positive behavior support intersect. Our mission to employ an interdisciplinary approach in providing highly structured, sequential instruction designed to support the development of independently living skills in such areas as mobility, self-care and communication. Salvin educators and parents work collaboratively with the goal of providing a learning environment in which the students feel respected and capable while developing to the greatest extent possible their ability to function independently.
